About me
Pat is a researcher at the University of Reading, involved in work on
- Digital Identity (This is me project - here!)
- Education in Second Life and other MUVEs (LLL3d and MUVEnation)
- Blogging for ERASMUS students (Mobiblog)
He is also involved in research relating to collaborative working, communities, connectivism, and machine consciousness.
He holds a 1st class honours in BSc Intelligent Systems, a distinction in his MSc Applied Informatics, and is working towards his PhD Computer Science. He is a Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS), and is a Certified Member of the Association for Learning Technology (CMALT).
Pat has a background in IT support and management, Civil Engineering, Land Survey, Artificial Intelligence, CAD/CAM, Programming and Adult Education. He has been a role-player since the late 1970s and enjoys science fiction and fantasy.
Pat has a profile on Linked-In, Plaxo, Facebook and a UoR site called RedGloo, in addition to having numerous other accounts with various sites he has been testing 
or evaluating at various points.
